didn't backlight the slab. With virtually flat LED light panels no available, this would be relatively easy to do today. When we designed this a few years ago we didn't have such an option. Without a light source like an LED light panel we would have needed a lot of depth behind the slab to backlight it

The slab for this Island was produced by Charles Pyle at Woodchuck.com. You can email Chuck at WC@charlesPyle.com or go to his website at CharlesPyle.com. This particular slab and much of the wood in his lumber yard is from reclaimed and salvaged sources
