The trim looks beautiful, and goes great with that color. I'd like to put it in the house we are buying. Could you tell me what you finished the trim with?
Who makes this Antique English Oak stain? What type of wood is this
Does trim, baseboards, etc., all need to be painted the same color?
What color is the trim stain?
The wood is antique english oak with a clear finish.
What is the wood and stain color?
We had the trim custom made by a local woodworker. You probably should go to a local lumber yard a see what their stock pieces are and combine them into the design you want..... Or hire
If you want continuity throughout your house, stick with one color on the trim and baseboards, the doors can match or all match each other. It's all about the visual flow.

The stained wood trim here is beautiful but grand. Is there a way to make more modest wood trim seem updated without painting it?
Could you please tell me what type of wood was used for the trim and baseboard. Seems like most are now painted and I am interested in stained wood for a new construction home. Any suggestions on a durable wood that can be stained?
