Where can I find these window blinds? Who is the manufacturer?
Abbey Blinds, Levelor, just to name a few of who manufacture this type of blind. http://www.blindsdirectcanada.com/blinds-toronto/horizontal-blinds/wood-blinds.html
They are wooden blinds with dark brown tapes. Most wood blind manufacturers will have these.

wood or composite with large slats to block
If you are going to use a painted wood blind, you might as well go faux. Nobody will be able to tell the difference. The wood blinds shown here, by the way, have a top treatment that conceals the roll and clutch — always a good idea!

light. Wood blinds commonly come with 2- or 2½-inch slats, but wood can warp, which lets in light. For long-term darkness, choose composite blinds, which look like wood and retain their shape indefinitely.

Faux wood blinds are recommended if painted binds are used.

are 2'' Wood or Fauxwood blinds. I would usually not suggest this for a bedroom it doesnt block the light but in this case you can see there are draperies to cover the blinds to block out the lights. http://www.blindsdirectcanada.com/blinds-toronto/horizontal-blinds.html
is 2" wood Venetian blinds with a tape - in this case black. You can also order them without a tape - the tape gives a more retro feel. FYI - This is Michael Kors Master Bedroom
Window Treatments: faux blinds + ripplefolds...just another idea but a bit of a pain to dust.
