Santa Fe Cottage Kitchen
In a Santa Fe historic neighborhood this small kitchen was designed with natural lighting, herb garden window, reclaimed barn wood shelving with workable space and a soft color palette. Photo by: Laurie Allegretti
what is used to hold up the window shelves?
a kitchen there is some shelving instead of cabinets. I would like to use this in my kitchen. How where the under cabinet lights mounted into the wood? Where did you find the brackets that hold the shelves up?
How thick r these wood shelves and what is the spacing between them?
from salvaged wood. For example, Wooden Duck in Berkeley will cut salvaged wood to custom size. Looks like these shelves are supported by simple brackets though concealed shelf supports can also be used so that the shelves appear hanging.

Can you tell me the details regarding the wood flooring.
I love the dark wood cabinets. Would love to know the maker and finish on the wood cabinets.

How did you achieve a seamless looking join between the tiles and the wood floor. Isn't there supposed to be an expansion gap?
What kind of wood and color did you use ? You did a great job !
Hi Jamie McNett, I agree these are gorgeous windows (Just like ALL of JH's work!) You may want to try a local high-end aluminum window and door manufacturer, we use Western for projects like these shown above. .... You could also contact
If you transition from tile to laminate flooring (or any other "floating" type wood floor), then you will have to use a T-mold or similar applied transition strip. However, if you instead use a glue-down or nail-down wood (engineered is available this way also) then you can create a flush transition

Love the window treatment. How are they made?
Since it's almost an inch thick, it's a lifetime floor. The only maintenance so far in the past two years has been a regular cleaning. Since it is real wood it will expand and contract with the seasons, so make sure your ok with some old fashion gaping between boards and the occasional cracks, squeaks and
