This is exactly what I DON'T like! White has its place, but I work in a hospital! When I come home, I do not want to be reminded of work.
I like the way the curtain makes this look like a secluded nook.
Love window nook!

Having a global style doesn't mean every nook and cranny of a home has to be filled with exotic finds. Unexpected elements mixed in with your home's main style work, too, as can be seen by this lovely little chair sitting in a decidedly transitional bathroom

classical chair for preening makes it feel as though the owners are well-traveled — and from the looks of it, they are! The dark wood of the chair works beautifully with the mirror frame and bronze accents found in the light fixtures and hardware.

cut to the length. 36" wide door is nice- can fit "stuff" at the back and still have space for laptop etc at the front. But even 24" wide door would work. You can order the door with no door hole, but I had extra ones bored- use for feeding cords through. Order it "primed" (painted with a coat of primer)
No door closet to desk nook
This frame design may work very well with the curtains mirroring the contemporary eastern theme
