I always thought that these long lights used for art work looks like they belong in the museum only, but in this space it works. It suits the style of the space and lights up the art work really well.
Interesting perspective that can work to show off the modern style with historical accent details in a unique way.

Where did you find the iron work for the fireplace?
There is a piece of New England Blue stone behind the wrought iron art work. The art work is attached with masonry screws and epoxy.
There are a few more photos of this in the book : Outdoor Kitchens that work by Tauton Press. I think they even included the layout drawing.
Thanks a ton! Beautiful work, I love the look and feel of this design.

move effortlessly from area to area — particularly when working with a potentially dangerous medium like a grill or pizza oven. Take this into account when planning your layout — you don't want to have to jump from place to place. This setup works perfectly: it's simple, but everything you need is here

Cucina Tavalo Flat Top Work Table
What do you think about a work table without a place for the stools to slide under when not in use? In other words, they will always be sticking out. It looks fine in this picture, but what is the general consensus
chairs that actually add to the characteristic of the room - they look fabulous! If you want a 'spot' for them try getting another rug for under the work table and the chairs it will look like they belong. But I love.
Stainless steel work table. Minimal cabinets.
Freestanding stainless steel work tables are great solutions to get a table and island in one. Because there's no storage underneath, your knees have a place to go when you pull up a stool. This work table could fit four more stools

michael-love your work very talented! Every time I stop at a room, you have done it :)
my question is if you can answer it. I have ugly lament floors in a room and want to know if I can paint over dark pergo? You live in Chicago where I live and love your work!!!!! need any assistants :)
metallic to closely match the wonderful wall covering in the dressing area. My room has the same layout and I'm going to copy copy copy!!!!! I LOVE your work! AMAZING!
Hello Mr Abrams, adore your work. Please tell me, how do you decide what color frames to use on your artwork?
You have mixed light and dark woods and light and dark metals in this room and it's beautiful. It works.
one of my favorite things. It can make or break a piece of art work. I use Artist Frame Service in Chicago for all my framing. It takes time to review the options and select just the right frame. You want the frame to enhance the art work but not over power it.

Custom Home office
Do you mind sharing the brand of magnetic paint and how many coats? I have heard it isn't effective, but looks like you made it work!

on the right. I love kids' art, but would need it in a room not meant for concentration. :) Plus, I prefer a framed, gallery wall layout for kid's work, where you switch out a selection of featured artworks, eventually having them choose their own to showcase.
