“problem, the fence is not tongue and groove it is just cedar 1"x6". Companies do sell a thinner cheaper material for fence veriticals that is probably about .5" thick that can save you money. However, this alternative leads to a cheaper feeling less durable fence and we are a bigger fan of just a normal 1"”

We have awful deer too. You can do this on the cheap by finding livestock fencing. It comes in all varieties of shapes and sizes. Then frame the panels with whatever lumber you'd like and mount on posts!”
