There is a 4" galvanized green roll top steel edger that holds the gravel in. No problems with this garden yet.

where this garden is in central NJ. My guess is that part of Canada is probably a cold hardiness zone of 3-4.and I don't believe there are any boxwood varieties that would survive a winter there even with protection. Wish I had better news for you :( Deborah
