wasn't zinc (if that is what this one is) probably more like steel (from Big Daddy's here in SF). We are finding the table top alarmingly cold to the touch. Is that a typical problem with metal topped tables? My husband was so in love with it but is now seriously considering returning it. Does zinc have
tabletop zinc? Where was it purchased? Thanks so much.
Hi I love your website! I am considering a zinc dining table in my kitchen. I really like the look and how it complements my Carreras marble countertops. Do you know how these hold up? I have an active household and don't want to get something that
shops has zinc covered tables. They are used all day, every day and I think they look great. With any metal, expect patina ... i.e. scratches.

The Cons of Zinc
Susceptibility to scratches. The same softness that makes zinc easy
It's easy to scratch so forget zinc countertops.
Cons of ZincSusceptibility to scratches. The same softness that makes zinc easy to fabricate also means that knives and cookware can scratch its surface. If you want to keep your countertop looking new, scratches and nicks will need to be buffed out periodically.Susceptibility to heat. Prolonged exposure

The variable flat/glossy and rough/muted character of the granite contrasts with the regular pattern of the zinc panels. And the juxtaposition of trees
against the zinc is like the two variations in granite. Whether the granite was an inspiration for Wilson on this house or not, these spreads highlight the presence of nature in the imagination, which is just as important as its presence in the world.Book: Houses + Origins (Images Publishing, 2012) Tour WA
