An open house lot is like a blank canvas. When Mathew first visited the wooded lot where this home would ultimately be built, the landscape spoke to him clearly. Standing with the homeowner, it took Mathew only twenty minutes to produce an initial color sketch that captured his vision - a long, circular driveway and a home with many gables set at a picturesque angle that complemented the contours of the lot perfectly.
The interior was designed using a modern mix of architectural styles – a dash of craftsman combined with some colonial elements – to create a sophisticated yet truly comfortable home that would never look or feel ostentatious.
Features include a bright, open study off the entry. This office space is flanked on two sides by walls of expansive windows and provides a view out to the driveway and the woods beyond. There is also a contemporary, two-story great room with a see-through fireplace. This space is the heart of the home and provides a gracious transition, through two sets of double French doors, to a four-season porch located in the landscape of the rear yard.
This home offers the best in modern amenities and design sensibilities while still maintaining an approachable sense of warmth and ease.

This stunning remodel seamlessly blends contemporary elegance with artisanal charm, covering the kitchen, coffee bar, dining room, 4-Seasons room, and fireplace update. The dining room and sunroom floors feature a mix of Kasbah Star Terracotta and Kasbah Cross Terracotta porcelain tiles, creating a dimensional pattern with a unique handmade look and warm burnt orange coloring; the sunroom also boasts heated flooring for year-round comfort. In the kitchen, the Look Bianco porcelain backsplash with its uneven surface texture and soft white shades creates a serene, light-filled space, perfectly complemented by the Brushed Copper Penny Round Metal Mosaic backsplash in the coffee bar, which adds a touch of metallic elegance. The countertops are graced with Calacatta Miraggio Cove quartz, featuring luxurious gold, white, and beige veins. The cabinetry is adorned with a mix of antique copper and matte black hardware, while DELTA matte black fixtures and a new 33" Undermount Single Basin Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink with Basin Rack, Basket Strainer, and Cutting Board add functionality and style. The fireplace now features a venetian plaster face, a live edge wood mantle, and a Blue Roma Quartzite hearth with striking copper veins. Enhanced by undercabinet lighting, lighted cabinetry in the coffee bar, and Innovations Lighting bell-shaped fixtures in antique copper finishes, including a single pendant over the kitchen sink, this remodel truly elevates the home's aesthetic and comfort.
