A cedar 2x4 is attached to the fence. A welded wire panel (hog or cattle panel) is attached to that and then another cedar 2x4 is put on top to sandwich it in. It is very sturdy. We want the panels away from the fence to the vine has room to grow in and out. You can get the welded wire panels at farm supply stores. We get ours from American Fence and Supply in League City Texas.

The gate is welded wire cut to size needed and sandwiched in between cedar. Standard gate construction. Hardware from Home Depot.

We use a slurry mixture of mortar (see the bags stacked on the cinder blocks) that we then install in the fashion of stucco.

It is artificial turf. I checked with our wholesaler and they recommended Syntheticgrasswarehouse.com as a source. We don't know the brand name.

It is called hog or cattle panel. We buy it from American Fence in League City TX They sell it in 20' sections and it comes in various heights. I don't know the gauge but it is stiff and sturdy. We have it delivered because of the length and usually cut it into smaller sections before taking it to install. I order if by phone.
