I love my central vac and I have 2 big hairy dogs so I vacuum most days I empty the catcher once a month and have a 3200 sq. ft house but what we did is buy an IRobot for the lower level and it takes care of the the day to day stuff and I just vacuum down there once a week to get what he misses(we call it Bob) I would use one upstairs too but it doesn't like my shag rug.

I have it and never use it. Maybe ours is older ( we didn't put it in), but the suction is lousy and the hose is a pain to get out and out away.

The fixtures are made by progress Lighting. Just checked the current catalog and it appears the mirror version is no longer made. They do make a polished chrome version, #P3116-15, available in different lengths. The bulbs are available at many places- search for silver bowl bulb or visit: https://www.1000bulbs.com/category/silver-bowl-decorative-globe-light-bulbs/?gclid=Cj0KEQjw_byiBRCu9qm5lc28ufgBEiQAWq-tayFbepVAGHPnW9L7v8VVKjql-w4IHZpEweABUFr785UaAiAi8P8HAQ

Hope this helps

AS I recall, the general contractor had the mirror cover for the fixture specially made by a glass company.

* “anal” .... I don’t think psychologists use this term as often as the rest of us

i love the idea of open shelving. i am a mom of twins and a hungry husband. i am also a minimalist. if i dont use it i dont want it. i have 8 plates, 8 bowls and plastic cups. i only have 2 frying pans, a few pots and 2 baking dishes. this open concept is the best option for me. i also have a tiny house

Thank you! Love the photos. The room's main purpose will be for TV and lounging, though the floor plan is very open, so when we entertain it'll be used for that too.

I would recommend a ceiling paddle fan. It will even out your room temperature better, even with air conditioning. You may even be able to raise your thermostat in the summer, to help with energy costs. With enough recessed lights, you may not need a light on the fan.
