The shutters are original to the house. They were relatively intact when the job began, so we kept them in place throughout the construction effort. Some repairs were required, as was a new coat of paint and new hardware.

Thanks. Where would I find these extraordinary window trims and baseboards? They go well with the dark color floors.

The shutters and jambs are original to the 1870s Victorian house. The window sash and glass are new Marvins.

This is not my project, so I am not privy to the actual costs, but if this was a big open room to start with and we added the whole thing- fireplace, venting, stone veneer, etc. - I'd say this is a $25K - $35K project. Lovely project.

Hi and thanks for the nice words. Our practice is geared toward custom single family residences and institutional restoration work, but we do occasionally take on bathroom remodels if the scope of the project is large enough and our workload can accommodate it. If you like, you can email me with more info about your project and we can discuss further.

Vinci | Hamp Architects commented on a discussion: why does glass rail look green in some pictures but not in this case?

Depends on the light and angle. The rail is made of typical tempered glass, which has a green tint because of the iron content. There are low-iron versions available that are less green, but it's more expensive and we couldn't make that work in the budget.
