This modern lake house is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The residence overlooks a mountain lake with expansive mountain views beyond. The design ties the home to its surroundings and enhances the ability to experience both home and nature together. The entry level serves as the primary living space and is situated into three groupings; the Great Room, the Guest Suite and the Master Suite. A glass connector links the Master Suite, providing privacy and the opportunity for terrace and garden areas. Won a 2013 AIANC Design Award. Featured in the Austrian magazine, More Than Design. Featured in Carolina Home and Garden, Summer 2015.

The room sleeps eight, with three double beds and three single beds. A custom upholstered piece was crafted at the join of the single beds, so those climbing up wouldn’t have to crawl over hard wood. The cushion makes a prime bedtime-story spot as well as comfort for an adult guest. The undersides of the bed boxes are flat; no springs or rods- the result is safe bunk beds and a cleaner look.

Nestled along the base of the Snake River, this house in Jackson, WY, is surrounded by nature. Design emphasis has been placed on carefully located views to the Grand Tetons, Munger Mountain, Cody Peak and Josie’s Ridge. This modern take on a farmhouse features painted clapboard siding, raised seam metal roofing, and reclaimed stone walls. The focal point of the interior design of this young woman’s bedroom is the green upholstered headboard with sheer wall drapery in back, creating a soft romantic atmosphere. The coverlet is an ecru color matelasse topped by a cotton print duvet, and the rug is wool sisal. The green accent color is repeated on the pillow and the contrasting welt on the chaise at the foot of the bed. Painted off white furniture imparts a clean, calming feel, and the decorative suitcase is taken from an old Louis Vuitton design. The chaise is covered with an Ikat pattern fabric in an amber color. This bunk bed room was designed for families visiting this oceanfront retreat in Key West, FL. We wanted to provide a space for both adults and children to co-exist since larger gatherings tend to take place at this home. We wanted to keep it airy, coastal, and warm so we mixed a cool and warm color palette to make the space feel charming, cozy, and oh-so-chic!
