My husband and I are first time homeowners and as we set out to gut our galley kitchen and update the first floor of our home, we were extremely concerned about finding a renovation contractor with the ideal combination of quality craftsmanship, trustworthiness and dependability. For us, it was a significant investment and we wanted to rest assured that it would result in something we could be proud of and pleased with. After countless interviews, we are so thrilled that we found Wilco Bos. Wilco and Kim were our dream team!

In the months leading to our renovation, Kim spent a great deal of time guiding us through the project and design process – offering thorough quotes, advice, design perspectives and encouragement. Any anxiety or concern over the unknown was always met with dedication to setting our minds at ease and explaining the process. Kim’s upbeat, enthusiastic and warm energy was wonderful.

During the planning process, Wilco would visit our home to ensure that Kim’s design could be achieved from a technical perspective. We always felt that Wilco had our best interests in mind. At one point he actually suggested we go a different route, even though it resulted in a substantial decrease in the project scope and estimate.

When it came time for the actual renovation to begin, I immediately felt that we were in good hands with Wilco. He is a true craftsman and perfectionist. He would often say, “If this was my house, I would….”. We felt that he was giving our project the attention and care that he would give to his own home. With someone in your home each and every day for a long period of time, trust is paramount. We thoroughly trusted Wilco and all of the service providers that he brought into our home. And by the end of the project, there was a bond of gratitude for the work he did AND the quality person that he is.

Wilco and Kim are amazing problem solvers. The vendor that we selected for our cabinets had major timing and delivery issues. Wilco and Kim offered creative solutions, including redesigning the cabinet layout and finding an alternate (and much better) vendor online offering the same cabinets. When our neighborhood electrician bailed on us at the last minute, Kim found us an electrician who could meet our tight project timeline. The same was true for the excellent painter that Kim brought on to the project after we decided we wanted to advance the timeline by contracting that out, instead of doing it ourselves. Kim and Wilco quickly and eloquently adapted to the changing scope as we added in more work and always provided fair change orders.

From a design and aesthetics perspective, we always had a great deal of trust in Kim and Wilco’s choices and advice. They have a modern approach, but are also cognizant of personal style and taste. Wilco’s finishes added a level of sophistication to our kitchen that I am assured we would not have had with any other contractor.

I could go on and on with this glowing review! We feel so thankful to have selected Wilco Bos.
