High resolution photo support in iPad 3 ("New iPad")?

First, let me say thank you for an awesome site and apps!

I was super excited about getting and using the houzz.com app on my brand new iPad 3, because our friends told us about it the weekend I got the New iPad. It's awesome on the iPhone, super sharp and crisp text and photos... It's awesome! So when I loaded it on the new iPad, the larger photos and more fluid navigation wer awesome. All the text is already rendered in full resolution, so sharp and crisp.

However... I was kinda hoping it would be just a tiny bit more awesome with full support for the new retina display including in the thumbnails and full size photos. It would also be great to be able to zoom in on the photos.

When will we see full support for the high resolution iPad display? Thanks in advance, support team!

It's in the works. Main issue is to continue giving the same awesome experience and fast responsiveness while moving four times as many pixels. Stay tuned...

Guy, thanks for the prompt reply! I understand the challenge. I've seen benchmarks on iPad 3 that show it is the same as or slightly slower than iPad 2 due to the massive amount of data involved. Luckily, most of the apps that support the new iPad retina display still feel snappy thanks to liberal use of the GPUs, but there's no getting around the quadrupling of the pixels involved, meaning a lot more optimization will be needed including liberal compression and prefetching!
