Advice sought from QUARTZ counter top owners or fabricators

I had a burgundy-coloured , quartz counter top installed. It looks beautiful, very unique, but immediately noticed flaws in it. It was confirmed that these where imprints left by the large suction cups used by the fabricator to move the slabs. It has been agreed that this is a defect and I can expect the whole counter top to be replaced, which is good.
HOWEVER, I also noticed that the surface seems not as shiny or smooth as I thought it would/should be. It's almost like it wasn't buffed enough. For example, fingerprints leave an shiny image on the duller surface. It is especially noticeable when the pot lights, or pendants, are on.
I would love to hear from any Houzz subscribers with quartz counter tops. Does your surface seem shiny?. Do you find any problems keeping it looking clean and pristine?
Depending on your experience I may have to decide to go with another surface, either material-wise, or colour-wise.
Would appreciate .input about your experience.
Thank you!

Joann
