Stair runner for curved stair

My classically traditional client is interested in a stair runner for the lovely curved staircase in her entry. Tired of her previous blah beige carpet, she is willing to go for a runner that incorporates the earthy palette of her home. However a pattern could be tricky on a curved stair. any suggestions?

A tight small oriental pattern could work.

Hi Deborah; It is all about the installation - although PH Interiors is correct in that a tight pattern could be more forgiving. Here are some examples of our work which involves custom fabrication on each step and use of the pattern that creates a pleasing result.
