What color paint for my kitchen. What color granite or slate?

We just bought a house. The previous owners put this kitchen in 4 years ago. I like it a lot just need to change a few things. We wanted to change the black granite to a lighter color. We also do not like the yellow paint? We posted a picture of our cabinets and backsplash. We are also making a breakfast bar 9ft by 44 in to open up the kitchen into the dinning room. Any ideas would be awesome! Thanks

The backsplash is the problem.

So before changing the granite--big expense and mess--consider replacing just the backsplash instead. Black granite counters would look great with white, pale gray or cream subway tiles. Think of the granite as a neutral.

Or go bright with a citron colored backsplash.

Nice cabinets, pretty backsplash. Try uploading some more photos taken with all the lights on. Steady camera on a chair or ladder to get sharper images.

Hi! We took these pics before we owned the house. I will take more pictures this week when I'm back in the house. The lights are on. I will add better lighting soon. Any thoughts on improving the kitchen? Paint, granite color and flooring?

Good idea. Never thought about standing on a chair.

No, do not stand on the chair! Rest the camera on the chair back to steady it.

The backsplash will not go with granite. It will go with a plainer quartz surface.
