Thanks for the advice, but I have spot lights above the corner! Adding a floor lamp could too much light, unless a brown small tree without grass! What do you think?

Any ideas about the opposite wall? I'm thinking to make a gypsum board with purple hidden light!

I'd keep the walls painted a neutral color but not too dark. Also I agree you need a floor lamp, and table lamp on an end table along with a glass top coffee table. An area rug would bring everything together. The light in the ceiling need dimmers to control the intensity of the light; but also other lamps to use when you don't need to use the overhead ones.

with so much spot lighting how about a wallpaper with an embossed [raised] design/ texture? which could be painted a nice neutral.

Just add one painting in the middle and a lamp on that side (corner).

are any of the walls seen from the front door? important in a sight line as they say? Maybe that influences which wall or maybe you already said -- do you want to accent the wall behind the couch??

My suggestion would be - first to remove some of the cushions - than add a nice piece of art above the sofa. In addition I would add a side table with a side table lam and then an area rug if you have a hard surface for the floor as I cant really tell from this photo.

Try having only one couch, removing half of the pillows and adding a textural wall. If you choose to go with a textural wall we have many styles available in gypsum or concrete and all tiles are seamless, grade A fireproof, paintable and repairable. They are also rated a 4 for LEED.

Would have to know your colour palette however a large format panoramic piece would work very well on that wall.
