Need help in changing color with mahogany floors

We have 3/4" solid mahogany floors that are finished with a red stain and a glossy finish. We would like to change them to more of a distressed gray tan finish (eliminate the red as much as possible) with a matte finish. Is this possible without changing the floors?

Find a local hardwood flooring contractor that offers hardwood refinishing service, they should be able to refinish the floors however you like.

Absolutely, mahogany has natural red undertones and depending on how the floor has aged since the original install, will be your two defining factors when refinishing them. I reccomend using a small "mom & pop" company in your town They charge a bit more, than some guy on a truck, but they will provide you with the service and quality needed on your project.
