What sort of stools for island?

Our kitchen is done! We have used this site so many times throughout this process.....so why not one more question. We need stools for our island. The ones that are there now are from our old kitchen.....so of course look beyond them. Thoughts please? What do you all think about our kitchen?

funny, I'd suggest a metal to balance the country feel -- not all the way to industrial (depending on what's going on with your lights, which I can't quite see), but with a bit of shine.

Beautiful colors and choices for backsplash, cabinets and walls and counters! I'm thinking white wood stools and some fabric window treatments will complete the room.

A thought....could mix high back white upholstered chairs going with cabinet colour, two of them on the longer end & metal stools going with pendants on the shorter ends.

Adding upholstered chairs would add more warmth & tie up the space together..
