What do you do with a 1950s pink tile bathroom on a budget??

I bet there's lots of good advice out there. How do you work with 1950s Pepto-Bismol pink ceramic tile and pink floor if you don't have the budget to tear them out? We plan to redo the walls, vanity doors and countertop, medicine cabinets, and light fixtures. Do you have any before and after photos? The rest of the ranch house is a warm wood and earth colors scheme. Help!!

Do some searches in this forum -- have seen several discussions about embracing the pink and the turquoise tiles, including adding black and camping it up, downplaying it with neutrals, etc. Otherwise, I hate to replace all those components and leave the tiles -- drywall isn't *that* expensive!

those tiles are very in. do some mid century modern pink tile search on houzz to see how others are celebrating and decorating those baths.

Sometimes it can look quite nice if you clean up the grout, replace some of the fixtures and fittings, and keep what's really nice.
