Install Cameras ) Children, Birds, Water Features

This week, I've been working on a couple of pages about play areas and attacting wildlife: including mention of adding surveillance cameras.

We have a (about $150) color camera mounted 14" or so from a bird feeder, and its hooked up to a color TV in the home office. We also used cameras to watch our yard before.

Soon we will move near Hillsboro, Oregon, and plan to install the "Bird Cam" so that a water feature is also visible.

Cameras also are good for watching children in play areas.

Many cameras are wireless, or have 60' cords - hook up to video port of TVs. Provides a decent picture.

Camera / TV combinations, would be nice for people in assisted living situations, or even day care, so that wildlife can be seen more often. Or watching a water feature. (and keeping an eye on children).

Anyhow, its an aspect of landscape planning that I have just begun to implement the past two years.

Maybe someone else might find it useful, too. The cameras are fairly easy to find online - there are dozens.

If you plan for one in the garden design - get a good one to install.
