They look fine to me. That is a really interesting way of growing tomatoes! I've done them in hanging baskets before and that works great as well.

I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't get fruit. Make sure that you fertilize your tomatoes with either liquid fish fertilizer (follow dilution instructions) once a week or with liquid seaweed fertilizer once a week. What I actually do is use the two fertilizers alternately. (Fish one week, seaweed the next)
