I think we have had this discussion before......several times :-) Don't know about other forum regulars, but I'd have to limit to the FAQ's to 3 items:

1) It depends........
2) Context, context, context
3) There are no absolutes, no rules - return to #1 and #2.

Oops, I thought I had read through the archives, but I see that the FAQ discussions are imbedded in other threads (just searched under FAQ specifically).

The thread listed below has some good suggestions. Vicki in CA's post (third from the top) is exactly what I was thinking would be helpful. Couldn't hurt.

I've seen discussions about this in the past, too, and I think that most posters won't read the FAQs, or read them and think the answers don't apply to their situation anyway.

It's amazing that people can be so lazy sometimes that they will post on the forums asking how to prune a shrub, when all they needed was to google pruning X type of shrub to get 20,000 hits on how to do it.

I withdraw myself from the nomination. :o)
