I know this should be posted on the Organic site but after reading so many questions regarding pests I thought I'd post this here.

I was the University of TN All American Vegtable Garden this past Saturday. I noticed basil and small marigold plants planted at the base of the tomatoes and I asked the man that takes care of it about that and he said they help keep aphids and other bugs out of them because they don't like the smell.

I use marigolds around the parimeter of my garden but not planted under the tomatoes. So Saturday evening I transplanted several basil and marigold plants to some of my problem tomatoes. We'll see what happens.
