They grow perfectly from seed; the tree can get to 40 feet with a trunk about a foot in diameter and limbs 15 feet or more radius from the trunk. If you leave it close to the house, they will grow branches away from the house and the house side will be flat. Better to move them now to an area where they can have more space all around.

Branches near the house aren't really the problem, those you can cut back with a saw if y ou have to.

The problem will be roots near your foundation. You get big tree roots down there buckling your foundation and you're going to be in for a world of hurt.

Definitely keep trees well away from the house.

If you want to use the fruit, it's better to go with named cultivars, which will have more predictable quality. Quince rootstock is sometimes used to produce a smaller tree, as I recall.
