Rubber Tree cuttings...

I have a Rubber Tree at work that will need to be pruned. I have read quite a few entries on this forum about pruning a Rubber Tree. I think that I should able to do it when the time comes. Yet, I still have a question for which I cannot find an answer.

Will it be possible to prune my Rubber Tree at work and plant the cuttings at home (about an hour commute) as I don't have space at work to grow new plants? If it is possible, how should I transport the cuttings to protect the cuts?

Thanks for your help.
