Oh Noooooooooo! I feel for you! I spent hours stripping sanding and refinishing my antique oak center post table and matching buffet. Shortly afterwards Andrew, who was then two years old, hammered up the side of the buffet and on the table's base with his toy hammer. Of course I had the nerve to go to the bathroom so he jumped at the opportunity. I was sick! We are still using those pieces of furniture and noone notices all the dings. (Or if they do they're nice enough not to mention it!)

Unfortunately, your TV won't function even when dinged up. I guess that I'm hoping that you'll take some comfort in the fact that most of us have at least one story of our kids destroying or damaging something expensive, dear to us or BOTH!

I could go on with tales of the things my other four sons destroyed but I'm afraid that by the time that I got done typing one thing they would have done two more! I'd never get off here until they moved out!

Hi, Did you buy it with one of the credit cards that insures things from accidents, loss, etc.? If not, it might sell to someone who wants the parts. New televisions seem to always have a couple of expensive parts that burn out long before the rest of it. It's a good sign that the audio works.

If none of the above works, someone here can tell you something fun to do with it, maybe a tv garden.
