Tell me how to get them here.

    busdriver..
to post pictures here, you will need to open an online photo account...many here use www.photobucket.com. It is free. I have a Kodak camera and software on my computer..and upload my pics there. Then you go to your photobucket site and upload per the instructions on the page from your computer.
    THEN:

to put them on this link, you go to photobucket, click the box under the picture or pictures you want here, go to the bottom of the page and click on "Generate HTML". When the new page comes up, you use your mouse to highlight the codes that are in the first box...then you hold down the 'control' key on your computer and press the letter 'C'. This copies your code. Then you go to this forum (back button or just enter whatever way you usually do). Go to the bottom of the page to type your message. Inside the body of the message, place your cursor...then hold down the 'control' key and the letter 'V'. This will paste the info into the message. You can then type in your message above or below the pictures. When you hit the Preview Message button under the message, you will then be able to see if your pictures are there. Then you hit the submit button to post your message.

    Hope this helps.

I'd love to have a pot man! I was at an estate sale this weekend and the former owner of the house had several greenhouses and literally thousands of pots. Actually this property would have been a GJunkers dream, had it not been for the company running the sale. A rusty metal bed frame, perfect for a flower bed...priced at $60! I was tempted to ask about the terra cotta pots, for a pot man, but then I saw the prices they had on stuff and figured I'd just keep on wanting a pot man. Besides, I had DH with me and he just kept giving me that 'look' when I would look at something with my head cocked to the side and he could see the wheels turning in my head. heehee

Gotta bump this up ......hoping you have a pic now!
I want one too.....have for over a year. Everytime I price the pots, it seems further out for me. Looking for a yard
sale, or several to get my pots.
This is the one I'm hoping to someday make......

ooh, hazie...I like that better than any I've ever seen! Lots of pots, though, huh. And I don't know if it's the same where you are, but even at thrift stores they aren't as cheap as I would like them to be. Here in Florida we have a store called Old Time Pottery....and sometime they have some great sales on the terra cotta pots.

OH....and busdriver....looking forward to a pic of yours!!

I've been buying all the ones I see at yard sales, but it's still not enough for a pot person. It looks like it would cost a little bit to make one. I suppose it would be ok to have different kinds, some of mine have waffled designs on them, some are short and fat, some tall and skinny! I've got a very nice large round terra cotta pot that says Portugal-cookies.....something like that on it,and a large one with a frilly edge that would make a good head. I love that one Hazie :) Looking forward to pics, too!

Busdriver that is a cute potman. I made Roscoe several years ago and originally sat him on a wooden chair. Two years ago we redid our bathrooms and the rest is history. Roscoe hasn't been dressed for the season yet so he looks a little naked.

Ha ha ha! Roscoe is AWESOME sitting there on his throne. Is that in your front yard, or back? :) I really like busdriver's pot man too, I especially like his shoes!

Roscoe sits in the back yard which is surrounded by a privacy fence. The only people who get the pleasure of seeing him are friends and family. During the summer he is surrounded by cosmos blooming.

Here is my "potman". I found the same pic in a magazine that Hazie posted. I tried to duplicate it as best I could.

Wow! LOVE all the "Potmen"! Kyponder, yours looks like he just plopped down after a hard day of gardening. PERFECT! What is he sitting on?

Hey Busdriver-- Your potman is cute as can be... but please forgive me... I'm "coveting" your rocking chair! And if Busdriver12 means you've been one for 12 years--I'd be Busdriver22! Yikes!

And Woodsy- You and craftylady have created a monster here-- with all your great photo instructions. Thanks

Wow, the pot mans are sooooooo cute! I love the plant cindee11461 used for the hair. :D

The pot men are all adorable. kyponder, you did a great job duplicating the one from the magazine. I like the moss between the pots and the addition of the hat and gloves. But I really love cindee11461's pot man's "hair." Makes me want to collect clay pots ...

These are all really cute, but I fell for Cindee's little one sitting in the flowers and his "wild" hair. I didn't realize the pots so pricey as I rarely buy any, other than to make to make my two tipsy pots last year. And they just used 6 each so bought them at Walmart.
Maybe should make MINI potmen for container gardens....LOL, much more affordable.

    hugs, Karen

tasymo - Thanks that's exactly what I wanted...to look like he just plopped down..lol. He is sitting on an old metal chair. I didn't want the chair to show so I surrounded it with some old pieces of wood we chopped up from a tree that fell in our yard during a storm. Mine is wired together & wired to the chair. The moss helps hide the wires & you never even notice them unless you are REALLY looking. It was quite a job, those pots get heavy when they are wired together....but I love my "potman". Thanks.

luna ilena feliz- Thanks...I tried! I wondered what to do with him during winter since he is way to heavy to move...so during the Christmas holiday season last year I put a Santa hat on him...I thought it was pretty cute! Maybe i'll make him a Santa suit this year...lol

I love these! I made my pot woman yesterday :o) All I need now is a pair of golashes to complete her outfit.
Freecycle on Yahoo is such a great place to obtain the stuff for this project!
