Thanks for all the great responses! This has really been a fun project. My "Girls" are at about the teenage chicken stage- half-grown, gawky and silly and SOOO much fun. They are really sweet. We need to put netting over the top to keep hawks out, and the Girls in. Once that is done I'll start transplanting flowers (purple cone flowers, black eyed susans, day lillies, hostas, bleeding heart, etc. from my gardens and planting seeds of cosmos, zinnias, etc. I'll probably stick a few totems in too.
Yup, Luna, that's a little wicker shelf with teracotta pots in it, hanging by the door. I'll probably plant some moss roses in it, since it will dry out fast, or maybe just go with silk. The egg basket by the window I think will get some fake eggs in it. You know, I'm kicking myself for passing up a bag of 'em at GW the other day! Don't you just HATE when that happens?! I'll post updated pics of my coop later this Summer, when the flowers are at their peak! Kathy
