Big table top hanging from my tree - PICS

Hi everybody. I've been lurking here for a while now and WOW !!! This forum has changed my gardening technique. Because of you guys I can actually walk into my shed now. All that crap has become part of my garden. This is an old dining room table that sat in the shed for years. I hung it from the tree with rope. My table is covered in junk at the moment. Any ideas how to make my hanging table more interesting?

Haheh the good mother that I am, I asked my son to get on it and take a swing. You know, to see if the branch would hold and all! :)

Holliewould (love your name!!), glad you posted and showed us your table. What a fun thing to have, and I can see all sorts of possibilties with it. Including decorating for the seasons or holidays! I'd probably be doing a fairy garden on it, LOL.
When I was a little girl we had a hanging table in our old farm type kitchen, hung by chains. Funny how well I remember that house, considering my memory stinks these days and that was 55 yrs ago!

Oh yea Welcome to the Junk Yard!!! It's the best place to hang out!!
Karen, you are too funny. It's the short term memory that goes first!! Just ask me I know. Hee, Hee!!

Thanks Karen! Great idea. I think I have come up with a theme. :)

Here you go bright199. I changed the first pic to a full view version as per your request. The table is huge. I also have two leafs to add if I want.

Hey that's cool! How high up off the ground is it? Could you use it as a table? Put some chairs around it? How about a potted herb garden? Or a big pad on it and the kids could take a nap on it!

Or...um...what were we talking about? Dang that short term memory thing!

Yes it seats six easily. I'm on the hunt for chairs. Maybe some sphagnum place mats, teacup planters, turkey pan, something like that. :) Here is the link to the full view of the table hanging.

Good thing it's not a round table...if you were going to sit down and eat...someone might give the table a spin...and they'd get your lunch....LOL

Hey Patti, that would be a FUN idea for a garden party!!
    LOL
Holliewould, I can't wait to see it decorated. Now you've got me thinking about doing a small one (and I like round, Patti) that I could hang on a tree in my front yard to decorate for the holidays. My family already thinks I'm nuts, so what's one more nutty idea. (Mine, not yours)LOL
