I think that old handrail is my favorite. I dont know how it hasnt come out of the barn much sooner. I live in the middle of the city, and I KNOW that would would have been in my garden right away. I have always wanted some old piece of farm equipment too, like that hand plow. I have threatened members of my household it will be in the yard if I ever find one. Dont really know if it keeps in touch with the urban theme, but who cares. Have fun and keep us posted when everything is in place.

I think you have a lot to work with! The old chair needs to be repaired but it's great color already. I love the old plows too, used to use 1 at our house growing up. We'll be waiting for pics!! Jan

We have one of those old cultivators. I'm going to paint it and put a potted plant on it.

Love that porch rail! You could paint it a few different colors and attach bird feeders on 4 sides at different heights. I used those metal post holders for the rails I used in my yard. They are long so it is very secure in the ground.

I'm new here - been lurking and reading your posts and enjoying your very creative ideas for a while.

Loved the treasures from the barn! I would make a blooming seat out of the chair. Cut out center seat portion, add a chicken wire basket and fill with flowers.

Love all your treasures especially the plow and pump. I have one of each we found on our property. I repainted them and put them in my front flowerbed. I also found one of those 3 legged tables in bad shape at a sale for a $1. I sanded it and repainted it using the leather-look spray paint and it turned out great. Have fun with everything. Darlene

Wow, that looks like fun - cleaning out the barn. I would place the handrail in a flowerbed for a fence. It is great - love it! Drive in a few metal fenceposts down to the height of the handrail and attach with the plastic zipties. Won't be permanent and you can move it around if the mood strikes or you find a better spot.

I have a hand pump like that and we plan to make a pond (I bought the liner/pump/kit on clearance several years ago - it is still waiting to be installed). The pump is going by the pond and the water will come out of the pump into the pond and recirculate. The guys in my family tell me it is very doable so that is the plan.

I just sit the cultivators in the gardens as decor - I bring them in for the winter to try to extend their life, and we also use Thompson's waterseal on the handles every year.

I have serious barn envy. I want one!
