Estate Sale finds

This is just a tease because the batteries are dead in my dig. camera. But here's what I got!

I got 2 old wood chairs($20.00), some awesome large wooden table legs(only $3.00), a cool medicine cabinet and the table it was sitting on($5.00).A concrete bird bath base($6.00) and let's see, an old metal telephone chair($5.00)an iron bed frame, full size($12.50) and some other stuff I can't remember right now. I'll post photo's later. I wanted to get some shutters, but was unwilling to bid that high. Actually, I thought that they said one money for each bundle of chairs they had so I think I paid twice what I should have, but oh well. I really like my large table legs. They have so many possibilities.

WOW! I was going to tell you about a bird house village I saw at a yard sale where they used table legs to mount the houses on,but those are way too good to put outside.Great find.

Oh you lucky devil:) What a bargain! I'd try to keep all three together in whatever project you decide upon :) If you decide not to paint, I'd use some lemon oil on them or some Old English oil:) Hmmm...check out Robolady's site, she has a lot of ideas with spindles etc..

I would take any suggestions of how to use those legs. They are quite big. I'll have to take some measurements and photo's up against something to help show their size.
This is off the subject, but I have been having trouble with moles burrowing under one of my roses and leaving the roots dangling. I sort of used the idea of a plate border with some old plastic plates I found in the garage and buried them pretty deep to block off it's path. Seems to be working for now.

Got some more photo's and I found paint so they won't be so big.

Absolutely fabulous finds! I had a table leg like the darker one in the first picture...the two that a close together. It was perfect for mounting a rusty bell on by the back door. After one season, it started coming apart! Do protect them!!
