A citywide garage sale... It sounds like heaven. There's one in my neighborhood every year which I enjoy very much-- but the WHOLE CITY?

Oh Yard sale heaven!! We should all run over and visit ya! They don't have that bulk trash pick up here,but they do where my daughter is.Her and her DH made several trips with pick up loads of great and cool stuff!! I put stuff out.....I gotta tape a FREE sign on to get anyone to take it..there's a queen sized headboard out by my mail box I just put out,along with a nice flag pole and some other goodies !lol:) I hope some kind soul takes them before it rains! Good luck, hope ya have a truck and find lots of treasures, I'm rooting for ya!!

The Austin website won't post the dates for the bulky trash pick up days, because they had too many complaints about people cruising the neighborhoods with trailers the night before to pick through the good stuff. LOL, which is exactly what I intend to do.

A couple of things I already have like yours. One of these days I will get my arm well
and get my garden back in shape, but it probably won't be until next spring.

Wow a city wide garage sale? ahhh that would be great esp. somewhere like Austin. Theres so many creative people there that theres no telling what you might find! I was just looking at your photos what is the border on the last picture on the first page? I couldn't tell if those were cans or bottles. Either way it looks very cool.

Thank you thank you. They are blue bottles. They had icicle lights in them, but they keep burning out. Got some great deals at the GS. They have about 10 tables of old linens they sell by the pound.

Take a look at this site. this is were I got the idea for my bottle border. But they have some other recycle ideas. Unfortunately they don't sell the blue bottles any more. Now they are covered with a blue label.
