Zone 6 pomegranates?

My father enjoys growing interesting plants and he is intrigued at the health claims of pomegranates. He lives in zone 6a western Pennsylvania. I told him I'd research hardy pomegranates. I've been reading old threads and the varieties Salavatski, Kazaki, and Entekhabi Saveh came up as being hardier than is typical. Has anyone tried gorwing these or other varieties in such a climate?
