What did Santa bring?

Was Santa good to you? He left me a wet/tile saw. It cuts glass like butter..... I am sooo excited.

I have some ideas in mind, but, like my sewing machine I got last year, allll the ideas I had stuffed in my memory have vanished.

I already cut the corner off a square Jagermeister bottle-- I will be stuffing lights in that later. I also cut a vase I no longer wanted in half-- just because i could. :D

I have enough blue bottles saved that I will be stealing Kirkus' blue bell idea and making some as gifts for next christmas. (hope you don't mind Kirk)

Once upon a post, I saw a rain chain made out of bottle tops that I will keep in mind.

I think i'll be going searching for some cheap tea cups to see if I can cut those in half... once again, just because I can.

So, who's got some ideas I can steal? lol

Anyone need any glass cut? Stop on by--- you'll find me in the garage.

Hi! Merry Xmas!Your saw sounds terrific.
Here's an idea I saw once. Cup/saucer cut in half and used as nite lites. Very cute! Don't remember how they attached the lite but I'm sure its on the web somewhere.

Beck, I don't live too too far away, so let's have a Craft Day at your house!! You're so lucky, you must have been very good this year! I got a Citizen EcoDrive watch from DH, which I'm really excited about. I've got about 10 watches sitting around with dead batteries in them! No more batteries!! I also got alot of stuff for my vintage-decorated kitchen, and alot of books, one of them being Creating Concrete Ornaments for the Garden, which I can't wait to look at!

My sweet santa gave to me a Tiffany Style lamp, imagine that, way out here in the backwoods of Alabama and I get such a pretty thang!
To him I gave 2 rolling toolboxes and 8 indivdual plastic boxes for extra storage, he said do you need one for yourself? He is just the best!

I got a new flat screen so I have more room on my computer desk for web surfing. And 3 new Santa's. My house is full of Santa's.My grandkids asked me if I love Santa.and of course I said yes, doesn't everyone? On christmas Eve we have a Santa come in for my Grandkids. He is the only one they talk to .They say the ones in the store's are his helper's and the real one comes to MomMom's house cause we're friends. That is the best gift of all seeing them with Santa.I have an open house on Christmas Eve filled with food, friends and family which to me is the meaning of Christmas!

Countrygrl - You are going to love that book....I know I do.

    Nana - That is a gorgeous lamp....beautiful!!!

Hubby made me a wall unit to house my jewelry and he gave me the entire series of the Carol Burnet show....I love that show!

The only thing I got that was garden related was from my Secret Santa. Thanks SS!!!

I have had craft days at my house.... when I started doing bb's EVERYONE wanted one. So, I invited them over, gave them a list of supplies, and we sat out on the deck, drank mimosas and made bb's. It was a nice day.

Now that I sent a picture of kirk's bell out, I might have to do it again--- they all want one again. I'll post the date when we do it-- you are all invited. bring your blue bottles.

Santa was REALLY good to me... I am now a proud owner of an air compresser with three sizes of nail guns and a stapler. I think a man that buys his gal power tools is a true man indeed! Now if I can only remember the projects that I insisted that I needed it for. Any suggestions???

I agree, citytransplant. Real men give their women power tools!! I'm so jealous of your nail guns! That's a tool I'd really like to get, because I just can't drive a nail straight!!

Very true!! Remember guys the rule to remember is it has to be power tools she ASKED for. lol

I remember my first nail gun.....I built planter boxes, and a potting bench the first week. I did it all with wood, and a sink I had reserved. total cost $0
My biggest problem with it, is once everyone found out I had one they all wanted to borrow it.... it's almost like a pick-up truck---- everyone's your friend when it's time to move.

Ok, beck_wi, where do you live? lol! I'm in West Allis so I'm not that far from toomuchglass. I have been wanting a tile saw because they are great for doing mosaics. You can cut up plates, cups ... well you get the idea, like nobody's business. If you need any crafting buddies let us know!

nana, that is a beautiful lamp! I agree, DH has a wonderful taste!

Everyone else got some fantastic gifts. We are lucky ladies! I got a new winter coat, some new gloves (now I gotta stop that old bat that follows me around from losing these) and this cute McCoy pottery frog.

I grew up in West Allis... went to Central High School too.

We are probably about ten minutes apart.
I'd love some crafting buddies---as long as you're not the ones that keep stealing all the good stuff from my favorite TS....lol

Do you guys have problems with teenagers stealing your creations from your yard? I know it's illegal but i'm very tempted to hook up some kind of fence charger to my stuff sometimes. j/k

Creating is on hold for me for a week or two--- my sister just gave me my first niece today!!! After the high of that wears off, it's crafting time...what shall we create?

Where I currently live, I only have a balcony and it would be pretty hard for someone to get to it to take anything. I did live in Greenfield for a while and had my own outside area for my apartment. I was amazed no one took any of my stuff but then maybe they didn't like it. They did steal patio furniture off of some of the patios.

That has got to suck to have stuff stolen. My boyfriend and I have tossed around the idea of moving into a home he owns in a kind of rough area of town to save money. I know people would probably steal stuff out of the front yard there. I thought I could make some big concrete birdbath or something that would give them a hernia if they tried stealing it.

Congrats on the new baby niece!

Well its not what Santa brought but my brother brought me an old wooden washtub with a hand crank ringer that attaches to the tub. Its so cool. He had to fix it up a little to get it to me. I plan to use it as a planter. Its really unique. I will post a picture if it quits raining tomorrow(-:
