Yes, the first is a berry - could be a blackberry or boysenberry. Since it is growing through and/or over the fence, it is easy to cut back. You just want to make sure no sprouts pop up from the ground on your side of the fence.

The fern is Asparagus plumosa, a sort of vining fern. Other species of asparagus fern can be invasive in warmer zones; not sure about this one. Here, it is grown as a houseplant. And yes, quite thorny and stinks when in bloom. Again, just cut back where it appears through the fence.

The picture of the berry coming from the soil is on my side. Should I not let it grow? I wouldn't mind berries, now that I know they're edible.

As for the asparagus fern, it has tried to come up in my soil but I haven't let it. I think I'll let it hang over from the neighbors side, since it adds color. But I'll keep it in check. Thanks for the help!

The blackberry will fill up your whole yard if you let it. Better to nip the infestation in the bud, before it gets much bigger and harder to get rid of.

Destroy it !!!!!!!
