Orbit timer quick question, delay mode

Give me some peace of mind here...

I set it to delay yesterday for 24 hours since it was raining. It was too dark this morning to see if it went into auto after the 24 hours but I'm assuming that's how it works. Can anyone confirm that is how it works? Once the delay is over it goes right into auto, correct?

That's correct, yes. As soon as the 24 hour delay elapses, the system goes back to Auto and starts watering. I used one for a bit and the delay mode went off without a hitch.

Even if it wouldn't, you can set your mind at ease. We got 0.4" of rain yesterday, the day is very cool and beautiful, and the seedbed won't dry out before late afternoon anyway.
