Although Autumn Sunset is usually a climber, there is a shrub version.
Your picture of the bloom looks very much like it but both of mine are climbers. Mine is very disease resistant. I don't recall any blackspot on it and I don't spray. Autumn Sunset is a 1986 sport of Westerland. If it's been in that cemetary longer than that, you should continue looking.

The leaves don't really look right - not thick or shiny enough. The canes may also not be right, but there aren't any good enough pictures to tell.

About the only yellow HT I have any experience with is King's Ransom. So how do I interpret the fact that it does look like that? It may simply by a common look for yellow HTs.

'Autumn Sunset' has a pronounced fragrance. How strong is the scent on your mystery rose? Also, how much does the rose fade? None of your photos show the cream color that the rose fades to fairly quickly. The faded color is comparable to the shade of cream that 'Julia Child' achieves as it fades.

I've grown the climber form for many years and I don't think any of the picture are AS.
The first couple of pics are single in form, then a the last few pics are an entirely different flower form.
Also, mine is more of an orange blend.
As mentioned above it's also very fragrant.

The photos I posted were taken at various times of the year, during the last three years. This rose receives no water and minimal care, which complicates its ID. I don't imagine it looks the same there in the cemetery as it would if it grew here in the garden. That's why I'm trying so hard to get a cutting to root.

I can't tell you about fragrance, because I am seriously fragrance-impaired. I know, I know, I grow hundreds of roses and I can't smell very many of them. I usually rely on the noses of friends to detect fragrances.

Autumn Sunset sure looked like a possibility. I'll keep it on the list, just in case, but I guess I have to keep looking.
