Match sofa and chairs from the same set or buy different chairs?

Hi! I am reposting this blog in hopes to get some feedback. I put a poll up and 4 people just said different. Now, I have no idea what will go with the sofa. I would love some actual advise, examples or feedback...please please please...thank you! I appreciate it. :-)

I'm buying a modern leather sofa in white. I probably should get a chair or 2 as well. Does it look better to buy all pieces from the same set or is that too matchy? Would it be better to have different chair(s)? I have small children and pets which is why I insist on leather since it is easier to wipe clean.

I have attached the sofa sleeper that I'm getting as well as a pic of the matching chair I'm considering. If you think different, could you give me examples of what you think would be a good combo? My colors are white, gray, dark brown wood furniture, light hardwood floors, and accent color is yellow. I love modern design. Thank you!

Hi Jennifer! I wonder if since the shape is so unusual, you might be able to use the same style, but a different color for the chairs so it isn't too matchy?

Oh no no no don't get matching chairs! I feel like you would be doing a disservice to this cool sofa! I attached some chair images from Room and Board that I feel are good examples. They all relate because they are modern, simple and have strong lines like your sofa but these chairs will be a good supporting role to your main actor (the sofa). I would get the chairs in a fabric not leather, it's also important to mix materials. I hope this helps!

Neat sofa! I like the options that Wannemacher Designs posted - especially the tub chair in grey or charcoal. I agree that it's nice to mix up materials but if you're set on leather, here's another one by Thrive in grey distressed leather. The dark wood trim will tie nicely to your other dark wood furniture.

It sounds like you have great taste and really own your sense of style! We love Sunpan's modern furniture, especially their Lolita Chair, which comes in both gray and yellow!
