Help-seed cover won't fall off

I have planted milkweed, it has sprouted good and emerged, but the brown shell of the seed, is not falling of of many of the first two little leaves.

Is this a temp. problem, a seed planting depth problem, to much, to little moisture. Any one know I would love to have some information on this.

When the seedling grows enough, the expansion of the leaves will 'push' the seed hull off.

Common problem. It won't hurt the plant but if it really bothers you you can mist it lightly to soften the hull and then let the leaves push it off.

The seed coat will normally fall off as the leaves grow but occasionally it gets "stuck". Softening it with water can sometimes do the trick but I've resorted to a straight pin and a pair of pointy tweezers to help it along.
