Certainly looks like a rarer white flowered form of Fireweed, Epilobium angustifolium.

Hi , checked out the fireweed and blooms look similar but the seed pods don't match

Signet

Dictamnus ?

I thought dictamnus at first as well, but the leaves don't look right.

Gary

I initially thought of Verbascum blattaria but that didn't seem to match.

Wow I am so surprised that noone here is able to id this plant. I was so counting on the fact that i have never been disappointed. By the wonderful group here. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I go from here to try to id the plant?

Thanks Signet

Try Lysimachia ephemerum.

Not Dictamnus. Pictures of mine attached. They also have star-like, 5-pointed seed pods that eject seeds when dry.

Looked a lot like Verbascum blattaria to me too. Perhaps a related species?

Fatamorgana, I think our posts crossed. I thought of Verbascum to start with but the flowers aren't right. Have a look at Lysimachia ephemerum. Primulaceae rather than Scrophulariaceae.

FloralUK that one sure looks like the same plant. Leaves look right. Flowers look right now I just need to find a pic of the seed pods. I too thought it was a verbascum based on the seed pods but the leaves dont look right.
Thank you all for continuing to try to id this plant. I appreciate all your efforts
