what are said about planting my new ogrs

I received my ARE shipment today, Mutabilis, La Reine Victoria and Reine des Violettes. I called ARE to ask them a couple of questions. They said it was ok to mix the Black Kow manure into the planting hole but thought it was excessive to also dress it on top. Just to mulch it on top with no manure. Also they said the pots have fertilizer in them so not to add any fertilizer for 6-8 weeks and only slow-release Osmocote.

OGRs don't like a lot of fertilizer then? I use liquid fertilizer but I guess I'll hold off.

Well, those are pretty young plants.
Most of them will like to be fed eventually, but too much, too young, that ain't good.
And if they had to, they could survive without. Mutabilis, for sure, probably don't care if she's NEVER fed.
Those ARE folks -- they know what they're talking about.

If it were me, I would mix in a touch of black kow into the planting hole and mulch well. I would not put fertilizer in or on them. I would let the plants establish themselves before using fertilizer. Also, if it were me, I would work on adding organic matter to the beds and let the plant work off of that. Just my 2 cents!
