Things are going quickly. Two mum collections were deleted as sold out as I was placing my order but I got alot of other things.

Gee, I filled my cart over an hour ago, but I can't get to it! Every time I hit "view cart", it takes forever to load and then when it *almost* done it just stops. I guess by the time I finally access it, everything will be gone!

Dee, I think if you get it in your cart, you're first, but can't promise that. Do you have a different browser you can try? I noticed a problem with something, too, finally remembered my uname and pw, got through checkout.

Thanks for posting this BTW!!! I had my catalog dog eared and was just there last night, wouldn't have checked today.

My order was $90 something in no time, so I had to take some off. What I had marked and didn't get were the Rudbeckia Moreno, Blue Phlox sub something, and Erigium Sapphire Blue.

At checkout they said they'd do their best to fill orders but, so that is a little worrisome. I got a couple I wouldn't have if not on sale. Hard to decide, really hard but I have seeds for some of it and will try that first and no room for some other things I want.

What I like about them is the pots are small making it easier on me to dig and plant them.

Aliska, my cart isn't saved, so I'm afraid to close out of this and go to another browser, lol. I put so much stuff in that cart I'll never remembe what I chose if I have to do it again, lol. Maybe if I just minimize this browser and try opening the cart in another.....

Aliska, I love the smaller size for many things because I have several shade beds which have lots of tree roots, and the smaller pots are much easier to plant than the bigger ones!

Thanks for posting this! I've been patiently waiting for this sale because there were a few things I really wanted, but wanted to wait for the sale for more reasonable prices. Got my order in place, now hopefully I get everything I ordered, especially the Hakone grass.

Dee, my heart goes out to you, hope you get it resolved. I don't think they save carts if you don't save them yourself. I don't feel too hopeful you'll get out of there with your plants. I wish I could go in with mine for you, but suppose that wouldn't be good.

My daughter can't get into her Facebook, but I tested for her and was fine. Too many problems for people with this stuff.

I have the same problem with tree roots, too, so I know what you're saying there. I love my trees, but I can't plant anything in a gallon container (roses) in some spots because of it. If I saw or chop out the roots, I'm likely to damage a couple of trees.

My huge soft maple has to be taken down soon or limbs will be crashing. Again. I mean it may be the biggest tree in town. It breaks my heart, but I'm responsible to keep it up and the ins may not cover if I'm deemed negligent, 2 neighbors and my property.

Anyway, once it's out, everything will change here. There will be a lot more sun, but I won't live to see it anything close to what I have now if I plant a new tree there. The dappled shade on the back lawn is so beautiful. I will miss it and the tree so.

Let us know how it turned out with Bluestone. If you wait and call them in the morning, there will be more stuff gone. I'm surprised they still had some of what I wanted.

Well, this is getting real old real fast. I've been trying to place this order since about 5Pm (it's now almost 11PM). I've tried three different browsers, have signed off, signed on, restarted my computer, etc. I can't get to my cart, and if I try signing into my Bluestone account first and then going to my cart, it makes me sign in again... and again.... and again.

I think nine out of the last ten times I've placed an order with Bluestone I've had an issue with their website. Just ticks me off tonight because there are some things I really want and it's frustrating to not be able to do anything about it.

Maybe I'll go through one more time (ugh) and this time write everything down and call. Yeah, like I have time.

Sorry guys. Don't mean to be a downer. Just frustrated.

Aliska, sorry to hear about your tree. I may soon know what you are going through. I have two three-trunked oaks (one of them at least was a four-trunk tree at one time) which are about 40 feet apart, and they are beautiful to look at and form the basis of my shade garden - and really are the centerpiece of my whole yard. Unfortunately, the trees are dying and we've already had a really BIG limb or two fall. I guess it's just a matter of time before they will have to come down, and you're right - I won't live to see anything similar in my lifetime if I replant. Oh well, I will finally be able to grow some roses, lol.

I hope everyone else is having fun shopping Bluestone and getting some good deals!

I never order on the website, Dee. I always call my order in. I would rather give my credit card info over the phone. I called during the day yesterday and didn't even experience a wait. As a matter of fact I never do, now that I think of it. Ordering has been very trouble free. I actually ended up only ordering five items. My 1/4 acre garden is getting full. [g] Plus I had already picked up quite a bit at local plant sales this year. And Bluestone has had a few things at 50% off all season and I already had one order from them.

I hope you worked out your order! If you haven't, try calling, it's an 800 number. :-)

Did you get it to work for you yet Dee? I did my shopping last night but decided to sleep on it. One of the plants I wanted was sold out this morning, but I think I made a better decision by waiting. I did the math on it and I'm paying at most $5 a plant so I think I got a good deal. Some of the plants I only needed two of since I already have one but the three packs are a good enough deal to get all three and I can always stick the extra plant somewhere.

and I can always stick the extra plant somewhere.

...or stock up, make a holding bed, and have a plant sale next season.

I've ordered the past 2 Springs, but not this year. :( Tendonitis in both wrists and elbows has put me on the sidelines this gardening season. I can't deal with what needs to be done in the existing gardens and planting all the winter-sown seedlings, let alone justify purchasing any new plants. It has been pretty depressing.

Not that I NEED to have more plants, but it would have been nice to get a few things because some of the Bluestone plants have done extremely well, and you can always give away or sell the extras later.

Finally - success! I got on the computer at 5:30 this morning, thinking maybe last night there was just so much volume at the website that that was why I was having trouble (and no, I didn't get up that early just for this, lol!).

    No luck.

I tried my daughter's computer - again, like last night... no luck.

I tried my husband's computer - again, like last night... no luck.

It took going to work and using a computer there to finally get through. Very strange. I don't know what's the deal with me and that darn Bluestone site. I should probably take it as an omen that I shouldn't be buying so many plants, lol!

I didn't have any issues with the website at all (I ordered last night). Hmmm, odd. When I added it all up it came to over $200, so I whittled it down to about $125. I could have easily ordered $300 worth. So much good stuff!

Dee, I'm glad you finally got it to work. I can't imagine why you would have those problems as it was probably very high volume when we were on last night. The only thing I can think of which may not be the reason was your provider; presumably your 3 computers at home are on the same one whereas at work maybe it is a different one.

I'm surprised you didn't call; maybe it was too early. That is one of the few places where I just go ahead and order online; usually I'd rather call like the other poster said.

I did notice that they don't seem to store our cc numbers which I don't like when they do but it is more convenient that way, I had to enter it. But there's no way of knowing for sure either way that someone could get your information. I almost trust secure sites over some stranger getting my number though as some could have marginal or temporary people to man the phone banks. Enough of that.

I forgot Russian sage. Guess I didn't have it marked and have been wanting some. I've got some seeds, but it takes forever and may not germinate at all for me. I don't know about others, but I'm hooked on buying online and only pick up something locally on rare occasions or see something when I've gone somewhere for supplies. I can get things I'd have to call or drive all over town looking for.

I didn't call because first it was too late (by the time I was really getting frustrated it was later in the evening) and then it was too early, lol - 5:30AM! Besides, I had gone through and just clicked "add to cart" about five times, which after that you would think I'd have everything memorized, lol, but I didn't, so I would have had to go through the site and write everything down with item numbers and prices, etc. So I preferred to order on-line.

I was thinking the same thing about the provider - all three computers at home gave me a problem, but I was able to order at work. Still, while I often have a problem with their site, I've always been able to order on my home computer in the long run.

Oh well, it all over and done (until the next time I place an order, lol). I was pleasantly surprised to see my damage was only about $125 - but then I realized I needed more than one unit of several things. But still, I got away with about $175 including shipping, so I'm happy.

Sheesh, I still have my regular (non-sale) Bluestone order sitting on my patio waiting to be planted....

I also placed my order over the phone this time because I wanted to combine a new order with the existing one. Worked well.
I ordered a couple of Hostas, a couple of Clematis, some new Heucheras, Japanese Forest grass, dark Sedums... Fantastic prices, still good selection.

Dee, I was glad to read your update. ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS!!! What were you thinking lol? I thought I was bad. I purposely kept mine around $50 because I spent quite a lot on 3 roses. Cost more for the shipping than the roses.

I'm happy for you. Could just feel your frustration the other night, figure you got what you wanted or you wouldn't have spent that. Even on sale, it does all add up to more than you think it's going to be until checkout.

Thanks for letting us know when the sale started. I bought a few reduced things earlier. But had to go back and order more now that it is all reduced. Placed my order last night. No problems and nothing I wanted sold out.

Aliska, I realized after I posted that I forgot to say that my order included some stuff for a friend too. I'd say about half and half, lol. So I'm not as bad as it sounds.... although I did just hit the Brent & Becky's sale too...

    :)
