please advise on greenhouse purchase

I am thinking of buying the 6x8 Snap & Grow Hobby Greenhouse by warmgreenhouse.com. I read a thread about holes in polycarbonate panels and am concerned.

I would appreciate any input.

Was the thread you mentioned about holes in polycarb panels a general discussion, or was it specific to problems with the panels that come with this particular greenhouse?

A round table would actually fit better not a square. It would repeat the curves of the chairs on the side, as well as the rounded style of the sofa/chairs. The rug could be pulled down from the wall unit so that the sofas front legs sit on the rug.

I would continue the color of the cabinets as the paint color through the rest of the space. I would consider a gray rug for the dining room and I would consider a white and beige patterned rug or white, beige and black patterned rug for the living room. I would consider the television where you now have the artwork with the trees and perhaps moving the beige chair in front of it elsewhere if possible.

Garmanr- I've been suggested to swap the living and dining but the issue is I'm limited to walls in the dining room since the back curtain wall is a sliding door to go out to the back. Another huge issue is that the living room space is too huge for a dining room and it already feels like the kitchen is all you see that a huge dining room addition is a bit too much. My house would be all kitchen and dining room with a busy family room. It seems that in the past going by the lighting that the dining area was where the red picture frame was and the family room was the dining room and I'm assuming another receiving room was across the kitchen where I've placed my living room. I tore down walls so now if I do that I think it will feel like a furniture display room . I could be wrong. I'm just exhausted lol.

That thread you provided is about the Harbor Freight greenhouse. It's a fairly decent value for an inexpensive greenhouse, but it's definitely marginal in some regards -- especially the quality of the glazing, and the fit and finish -- so you'll find lots of threads about it here from people who want to fix/improve their HF greenhouses.

Polycarb is generally pretty tough stuff and a good choice for a greenhouse. Manufacturers of quality greenhouses usually warranty the polycarb for a number of years. My recommendation is for you to contact the web site that is offering this greenhouse and see what, if any, warranty they provide on the glazing.

I looked at the link you gave to the greenhouse and the detail pictures looked to me like a quite decent product, especially at that sale price. I also found some reviews for it at another site, and 3 of 4 people were quite pleased with it. If I were looking to spend the amount you were, I'd say that it looks like a very good value for the money, and a definite step up from the less-expensive HF model.

I had the snap and grow greenhouse for about 5 years. It held up well and did what I needed it to do. Great starter greenhouse. It stood up to all kinds of weather but did not survive a tornado this summer...with all the destruction not one panel cracked or broke!

We ordered it on Friday. I'm happy to read your recommendation. I live in Oklahoma so understand about tornadoes.
