Jan, those are all beautiful specimens. You must have been growing these for some time. Caudex on then is wonderful.
The last two in the green plastic pots look well suited to Bonsai culture as some pictured in Mark Dimmitt & co-authors book.

Fertilizer seems to of mixed preference, but I am using the one Laura had mentioned. PlantPro Foliage-Pro 9-3-6 (found in most Hydroponics stores).

Chuy, I can answer your question. What you would do to have one of those? Easy, very easy......
You need time and patient. By the year 2045 you will have one of those if it lives through all the winters.......

These slow grow plants need magic......

Marie - I'm from Arlington TX, the weather is not as great as Houston, but the DR manage to get 4 months of hot sun :)

Marie, I use Osmocote 14/14/14 + rock phosphate , in the summer I use Spray & Grow ( micronutrients) spray the leaves 3 to 4 times , hope that help
