I have two questions about deadheading or de-budding.
First, my itty bitty baby band Renae from December, who hated her pot is now thrilled to be in a bed and is growing leaps and bounds, only she wants to put out sprays of itty bitty buds. I know I should de-bud her, BUT they seem to be at the tips of of the new canes and have a leaf covering the base of the spray. I know I should show pictures, but I forgot the camera today. Will she hate having growing tips nipped off? She only has a couple of these on her now.
And Grandmothers Hate put out nice candelabras, now a second section of the cane is coming out from the base of the candelabra with it's own candelabra at top. Can I cut off the first one after the new cane? Would another new cane come out of the spent candelabra?
I drew a funky photo in photoshop to kind of show what it is doing.
