    O, Sally, that is fabulous!!!

Did you get my private GW email about the salvia seeds?

    Veronica

Hi Veronica- Thanks for the kind words... I did get messages abt. the Salvia seeds but don't remember who from (senior moment?).. someone let me know that two I was looking for are sterile hybrids, which means no seeds, and have to be plants... they are kind of pricey, $6.50 - $7.00, so I'm re-thinking how much I really do want them... it isn't as tho' I don't already have some Salvia, but I saw the two 'Purple Majesty' and 'Wendy's Wish' w/glowing reviews and lusted after them... well, it has had time to cool a bit!! Maybe someone out there already has a good stand of them and can make cuttings? I did order seeds for a few others from Park, and they were 'sold out' on several... so we shall see..... thanks again, sally

Sally, you have a beautiful garden. It's obviously had a while to mature since I see some nice large roses. Beautiful companion plants too.

Well isn't that great. I've had my photos for years on Picture Trail in order to post here.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful roses.

    Sally,
I didn't know that GW had changed the way they do picture posting, but I'm glad you can post pictures now. It is wonderful to see your garden and roses. I really love the colors. Gean

What a lush, healthy, beautiful garden you have, Sally! You've packed it full of lovelies. What is the tall yellow rose (?) on the right side of the last photo?

Thank you for telling us about this new feature: "Image file to upload (optional)" right at the top of the "Post a Follow-Up". This is the first I've seen it. It should make life easier. If it's like other photo uploaders, you should be able to select more than one photo at a time. Maybe I'll test it.

No, it doesn't work like others. Only one at a time, and if you try to upload another one in the preview, it replaces the first photo. No multiple photo posts using this uploader. And since you can't see the HTML code like with the other method, you can't remove the photo once you load it. Very interesting.

Well, wait a minute. Now my photo is gone. Wonder where it went.

    Tell Calvin thank you!!!

Now that looks like Florida, but with roses. Thank you for the burst of homesickness, and super compliments on your garden! I really like the whole thing!

Sally, I meant to ask if these pictures are recent or were taken in the spring. If they're recent I need to know your secret. Other than scattered blooms, the only roses I have that are blooming heavily are Elina and Belinda's Dream. Spill your guts if your roses are this gorgeous right now and let me know how you do it. I hope Mr. Smarty Britches on the rose forum sees these pictures.

OK, so why doesn't it work for me? I put in a path to an image file on my computer, and hit Preview, and I get Message Rejected. It says I have to provide a name and email address - but I'm logged in! and there's no place where it asks for a separate name and email address. What's the deal? I thought the whole point was to make it easier to post photos.

sorry but I knew it had to be too good to be true, coming from these people.

Thanks Folks, I sure appreciatre all the kind comments... Sherry, that yellow is Julia Child, I have 3 of her, she is a bloom-machine and resists BS, similar to Belinda's Dream... one could have a whole rose-garden w those 2, plus Don Juan and Summer Snow, and China Doll.. they are really tough plants and provide all the colors for a garden.... yes, my garden iss getting old, some of them are over 30 years now, several Don Juans are at least that, also Summer Snow and China Doll, also my Knock Outs are abt. age 25 now.... Queen Elizabeth is abt. 25, the Chrysler Imperials are abt. 20...sally

Sherry, I'm sorry, I took another look at the pics and realize you were asking abt. the tall yellow , well, that is Cape Honeysuckle, in a pot...that is for the Hummingbirds, when and if they deign to visit my garden! Sorry 'bout that! sally

    Just testing...

    Testing too.

Hi Rosies- Someone asked how old my roses are, well, some are 30-35 years old, the Dons are old, also Queen Elizabeth, also Summer Snow (there are 6 of them) also China Dolls, 6-7 of them in the front, others are 10-15 years old.... they are mostly all on Fort. I have some new OGRs from FSC, on Fort. also, certified virus-free due to their heat-treat program, planted this time last year and they are going like gang-busters, right out of the gate they surge and Cl. Devoniensis is 15 ft.tall, Mrs. BR Cant is right up there, I'll see if I can attach another pic of that bed..the bed in the front on the left is KOs, the OGRs are further on w/the new walkway thru' the center... Cal took these pics in April and they have grown a lot more since then..thanks , sally
